ChatGPT is a new Artificial Intelligence platform by OpenAI that uses machine learning to use text, research, and know-how from the internet to solve problems, improve workflow, and possibly revolutionize the world (Note: ChatGPT is free for now while it’s in Beta). ChatGPT aims to make it easier for you to share resources, lesson plan, assess students, write documents and complete administrative tasks, ask for help on general inquiries and research, and stay up to date on the latest developments in your field. Ultimately, there are many pros and cons of ChatGBT and its implication’s going forward.
As a coach, ChatGPT can be utilized for you to develop graphic organizers, tables, find information, brainstorm, creating standards/objectives, develop assessments, review a draft of a lesson, and search strategies. As coaches, we must be able to harness new forms of technology to support teachers and amplify their workflow and instruction. As a result, we must be ahead of the curve!
I am providing three resources to help you further learn more about ChatGPT from a few great educators to support you in learning more about ChatGPT. ChatGPT may not be 100% accurate and biased at this point, its a powerful tool that will only become more relevant and impactful over time. Therefore, ensure you have Google Scholar and a tool like Perplexity.ai available for you to double-check sources and information. Nonetheless, this tool and form of technology may revolutionize our world before we know it!
Check out the information below to support you in learning more about the tool. Thank you to all of the amazing educators out there who are testing ChatGPT and sharing their knowledge about it with other educators around the world!
